The works of Natalia Sliwowska

Malgorzata was my elementary school best friend. Our ways parted when she suddenly left Poland as together with her mother and sister she had to move to France. We lost contact with each other for the next years.

In 2014 Malgorzata came back to our home city. She was staying for six months recuperation from depression and anorexia, something I would have never predicted. Her hair wouldn’t grow and she would wear a long black wig. I was on medication treatment for depression too.  We were both just about to graduate from highschool.

The above series of photographs covers time we have spend in Wroclaw as Malgoarzata became my muse. Making of these photographs was a way of spending time together, we never intended to translate our states in them.

The first three photographs are digital, the rest was shot on Ilford pan 400.
